Introduction to GNOME Calculator

GNOME Calculator is a powerful graphical calculator with financial, logical and scientific modes. It uses a multiple precision package to do its arithmetic to give a high degree of accuracy.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-8.3 platform.

Installation of GNOME Calculator

Install GNOME Calculator by running the following commands:

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson --prefix=/usr .. &&
ninja

To test the results, issue: ninja test. On 32-bit systems, Number.float and Number.double tests might fail due to floating point round off errors.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install
