Introduction to GNOME Disk Utility

The GNOME Disk Utility package provides applications used for dealing with storage devices.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-8.2 platform.

Installation of GNOME Disk Utility

Install GNOME Disk Utility by running the following commands: 

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc &&
ninja

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user: 

ninja install

Installed Programs: gnome-disk-image-mounter and gnome-disks
Installed Libraries: libgdu-sd.so (GNOME Settings Daemon Plugin)
Installed Directories: None

Short Descriptions

gnome-disk-image-mounter

is used to set up disk images.

gnome-disks

is used to inspect, format, partition and configure disks and block devices.
